Lighten Up Online competition no. 1: Wish List
Write an appeal (in verse) to a potentially prize-awarding commercial sponsor for a new quarterly light verse competition to be run by Lighten Up Online.
Hope springs eternal, so I might forward some entries to your targeted sponsors . However, unless one of them is spectacularly successful, there will be no prize for being among the winners of Competition 1 or, indeed, of any others. A selection of the best will, though, appear in our next issue due in June 2008.
Entries must be a maximum of 16 lines, clearly marked “Competition 1” in the subject line and sent in the body of an email to the editor at:
