Oxford, for shame!
Think of the slur on your dignified name!
Remember the rage
when four-letter words first appeared on your page?
That was enough,
yet now you’re condoning the language of phoning –
the newspeak affliction of mobile-addiction –
and those who go clipping it, ripping it, stripping it
down to the buff,
leaving it bare,
blemishes, wrinkles and bodily hair.
As anyone knows,
you pull off the petals, you ruin the rose.
English? A farce.
While you, the defender of language’s splendour,
your duties ignoring, are busily whoring.
Consider your station and high reputation, and
GT OFF UR RS!
