These things each hydroid jelly lacks:

like weird pelagic blister packs,
they drift in colonies called smacks.

Woe to the toe a jelly thwacks!

Though host to scads and yellow jacks
their tentacles, in search of snacks,
bear stingers sharp as carpet tacks.
