Unpack the new kettle now, Norman,
The one that we recently bought,
And see what it does, for it’s certain
It’s not of our usual sort.
They say that it’s smart, responding
To verbal requests, and what’s more
You can tell it to boil from a distance
Providing you’ve filled it before.
So when we get home from our shopping
We’ll find that it’s ready for tea,
Saving our time and our tempers.
How useful it’s going to be!
So we’ve had our new kettle a fortnight,
But something appears to be wrong,
Our computer’s been hacked, and on boiling
The kettle now broadcasts a song.
