Spewing a smell, horrid and icky,
the white-coated man, in front of my nose,
held out a black rubbery doohickey
adding a queasy tummy to my woes.
Hold still, don’t turn away, little Vicky,
you will see something magic in the mask,
a wonderful friend in color – Mickey!
The Mouse! Look inside, that’s all that I ask.
Tonsillectomy, operation quickie,
versus sight of my favorite one!
Eager, I looked though my stomach felt sicky.
Throat sore and mad, I awoke tonsils gone!
With a kind voice, he’d slipped me a mickey.
Who would guess a gas passer could be tricky?
