Search poets

Jonathan Humble is a deputy head teacher in a rural school in northern England. He’s worked as a painter, lettuce picker and engineer in the power industry. Other than writing poetry and short stories, his hobbies include beard growing, pointing at poppies whilst saying "Oooo, they look nice!" and keeping the international coffee industry afloat with his patronage. His poetry has appeared in The Big Issue In The North, Poems For Freedom and The Caterpillar Magazine, as well as on The Gordon Swindlehurst Show on BBC Radio Cumbria. He has recently been awarded the post of Poet Laureate by the Tripe Marketing Board and regularly appears at Verbalise in The Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal, The Spotlight Club in Lancaster and other performance poetry venues in the North West of England.
