Former Russian translator, now running a B and B in South Devon (www.postcottage.co.uk - 10% off for anyone who can recite a poem of sonnet length or more by heart.) Sole ambition - to write just one really memorable poem before I depart. Not yet achieved. But hope not entirely gone.
If your plane happens to land in so-called flyover country in the U. S., you can visit Barbara Loots in Kansas City. The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, where she is a docent, is well worth a visit. Her poems can be found at Mezzo Cammin and elsewhere in the universe of little magazines and anthologies, such as The Random House Treasury of Light Verse. Her collection is Road Trip (at Amazon).
