The trouble with Kudu is not what they do do.
It's all of the things that they should do but won't do.
They know how to tap dance, they know the soft shoe too,
So many great dances they could do but don't do.
When kudu herds graze on a hot summer day
It may happen their hooves begin absently tapping,
Cicadas are rhythmically chirping away,
Their tails start to swish, soon their ears begin flapping.
The next thing you know you may see kudu dancing
In line side by side as they kick and they slide.
They twirl and they whirl, or they’re gracefully prancing.
You can if you watch from a good place to hide.
Kudu are shy and they’ll never cavort
If they know you are there. And they’re sharp, they can tell.
Those kudu in short, I am sad to report
Will not do that voodoo that kudu do well.
