My multi-purpose glue had dried;
I poked and prodded with a pin,
but far from freeing up the spout
I somehow squeezed a big blob out
and where I needed just a jot
I ended up with quite a lot.
It’s not the first time that I’ve tried
to save old glue, all hard and crusted.
But now I have so much that’s runny
the mess I’ve made is far from funny;
what’s more, the plastic nozzle’s busted.
The glue that’s out won’t go back in
And all because I used a pin.
