David Shields is by birth a man of Kent (not a Kentish man), but has lived in Wales for twenty years and describes himself as semi-naturalised. He is a member of Brecon Stanza Poetry Group, and has recently published a collection of light verse entitled The Light Stuff. He is currently working on a follow-up, Occasions and Causes (both Brazen Calyx Press).
