Jenny Pearson grew up in a boys’ boarding school in North Devon, where her father was a housemaster. After University College London she worked in opera administration before going to Libya and then Ethiopia, where her two daughters were born. She returned to South Devon and a career in EFL and now lives in Topsham, near Exeter.
