John J. Williamson is a retired lecturer from South Shields. He met his Kendalian wife at university and is often seen wandering around the fells and lakes of the Lake District National Park, which she introduced him to He still travels, gardens,. paints, and supports Newcastle United and the Brewery Arts Centre.
