Susan's collection of poetry, Creatures of the Intertidal Zone (Cinnamon Press), inspired by her journey through Iceland, Greenland and Newfoundland in the footsteps of an intrepid eleventh century female Viking, has been described as 'a marvellously different blend of passion, pathos, poetry - and penguins!' (Mslexia). She performs at festivals and environmental events up and down the UK and always likes to sneak some of her lighter verse into the programme.
