Larry's a strong and stable cat,
Who guards the PM's welcome mat.
He prowls the rooms of Number Ten
In charge of who and where and when.

Cameras that follow everywhere
Record each tail-swish hiss and stare.
His minor scraps with cats next door
Make PMQs seem like a bore.

He does his job of catching mice
And giving Mrs May advice,
Like "Go one way, then change your mind"
And "Best attack is from behind."

While PMs come and PMs go
Larry's the one who runs the show.
He'll still be there when May departs;
It's clear he's dear to all our hearts.
